Impressive image of the nebula "Ghost of Cassiopeia" captured by the space telescope of NASA and ESA Hubble.
The mysterious appearance of the nebula IC 63, which lies 550 light years from Earth, is due to ultraviolet radiation coming from the star Gamma Cassiopeiae.
Hubble has captured the reddish hue of the nebula, a product of hydrogen, and blue, the result of the star's reflection on the dust particles of the "Ghost of Cassiopeia"
Gamma Cassiopeiae is 19 times bigger and 65 thousand times brighter than the Sun, whose radiation affects all the structures around it, including IC 63.
